Garden Club
·       Installing sprinkler system for garden at trailway head, total cost will be about $4400
·       City will spread grass seed in barren spots around fountain
·       Want to purchase plaque to recognize tree donations planted along trails
·       Committee approved disbursement of up to $2500 for payment of sprinkler system
Historical Society
·       Historical plaques funded by sesquicentennial grant not available yet
·       Mark Koehn is officially new president of Historical Society
·       501C in process; Society needed to be reinstated (state changed process last year(
·       Bids on foundation for schoolhouse received
·       Will have RR car float in Holdingford Daze parade with local former RR workers as the parade’s grand marshals
·        
Economic Development
·       Bob Warzecha received name of contact for co-op store in St Paul
·        
Miscellaneous
·       Skateboard park:
o   Construction of volleyball courts next to skateboard park has begun
o   Lions Club/Commercial Club working on set of child size train cars for park
o   City may add unused culverts to create a tunnel
o   Donor will provide a new rail for park
o   Plan to purchase a skateboard for promotional drawing for Holdingford Daze, will check to see if local skateboard stores will donate certificates/coupons as runner up prizes
o   Will check on plaque/sign for Andrew P (boy scout who built original equipment)
o   Craig will provide Ernie with name of local manufacturer of skateboard ramps (uses skatelite)
·       Clarified eligibility for future Initiative Foundation grants: eligible again in 2010 and 2011
·       Committee approved up to $175 for purchase of skateboard for Holdingford Daze promotion
