Grant Information

·       Subsequent grants are called Implementation Grants

·       Purpose is to accomplish goals identified in visioning session (Historical Society would be eligible even though not one of the top priorities identified)

·       Holdingford is eligible for up to $10,000 in grants for each of the next 4 years

·       Grants not eligible for capital purchases

·       Requirements for submission:

·       Committees must draw up a work plan, listing goals to be accomplished over the next 12 months

·       All needs to accomplish goals must be identified, with estimate of dollar amounts needed

·       Foundation prefers all requests be submitted at same time

·       Foundation reviews requests and notifies us which requests are approved for 2^nd round of requests

We proposed skipping our April meeting, and holding our next meeting on Monday 05/21. We will have much to cover, I ask that we plan to meet for 1½ hours this night, from 6:30 – 8:00. This is one week before Memorial Day. Please check your calendars and let me know if we need to consider a different date.

Please read the Grant Information section at the bottom of the attached minutes. We are eligible for up to $10,000 in implementation grants for this year, and for each of the following three years! Submitting for the grants will take some planning. I suggest that during the April committee meetings, time be dedicated to complete the following tasks (required for grant submission):

·       Committee’s goals for the next 12 months put down on paper

·       Steps necessary to accomplish these goals identified

·       Estimated funds needed to accomplish each step

I propose that we commit to completing the information needed to request our grant during May’s meeting.  We will also need to outline our plans for Holdingford Daze so we are ready to finalize them at our June meeting.

Please Reply to All regarding your ability to attend on 05/21, so we are all aware of your ability to meet that date or your need to change. Also let me know if you feel your committee will be able to complete the information needed for grant submission prior to this meeting. If possible, please send me the information and I will collate and print out copies to share with everyone at the next meeting. (I will contact Andrew and invite him to attend this meeting.)
