Ernie did make Stearns county aware of grant.

Craig notified school, no response as of March.

Skateboard Park
|
St Rosa Lumber is in busy season – doesn’t have time to
check into purchase requirements of purchasing SkateLite at wholesale price.

Craig will contact Melrose and the Foundation
to get names of other towns considering a skateboard park to see if there is
interest in purchasing wholesale cooperatively.

Historical Society
|
·
Elaine Davis has taken an active role in
pursuing move of schoolhouse. Has made contact with (Dave Gruenes?) to move
wires.
·
May be able to move schoolhouse down part of
Lake Wobegon trail to save costs.
·
501 C is in process, will check into what can
be done to expedite.

Will discuss drawing up foundation plans at
next meeting.

Economic Development
|
·
Plans for Moonshine tour will go forward, but
probably will not happen until next year. (Contact is Jean Robbins)

·

Garden Club
|
·
Working with Lioness Club on welcome packets.
Will include; school newsletter, coupons and local business information,
information on churches, etc. Make available to citizens of Holdingford and
Holding, Crane and Brockway Townships.
·
Stearns County Park Board donating ~$200 worth
of trees for along Lake Wobegone trail by Meiers farm. Can use Fire
Department’s four wheeler for watering.

Garden Club will coordinate volunteers for
planting activity.

Miscellaneous
|
1. Craig
contacted Pat V regarding contacts for youth participation – no response as
of March.

Tourism
|
This is not a
committee but will be recorded here to keep track of the various activities
that are in progress
1. Covered
bridge: Army Reserves scheduled for end of April/start of May
2. St
Cloud River Runners Marathon: 100 hundred runners have signed up for the
first annual marathon on May qq. Marathon will start in Holdingford. Will
likely want to start at school in future years.
3. Holdingford
is the starting point for Caramel Roll ride on June 14.
4. Theme
for Holdingford Daze is “Bridging the Trail to Holdingford”.
